Dishwashing family cycle!

‘Dishwashing’, the premise of a certain one in a home, it was never me I was always being told by Dishwashing dad to repack or leave it to him and I did until he wasn’t able to do it anymore and hence the first FB post was messaged, ‘help my dishwasher man is taking a leave of absence..’ I will repost the debate that ensued at a later date, (it is suffice to say it was a war of the sexes) and not just among the pots and pans!! Gary (dishwasher man and my husband of 15 years got that shitty disease (to borrow a Calendar Girl line; of cancer). He went through a crazy, intensive cycle of treatments and operations, but the murky grime of the disease of cancer was ingrained to deeply and his mechanics to function stopped working; myself and my beautiful cups, Alex, Nikki and George took over dishwashing duties on the 21st April 2014, (when our beloved ‘dishwashing dad died)…..we have had two dishwashers since (the machine not men, I hasten to add). I did say to the cups if he is like this over his dishwasher, what will he be like when I do find a new man!! I have been advised and encouraged from writings I’ve posted on FB to set up a blog about my dishwashing family life, so after much repacking and rewashing of emotions, thoughts and actions, I am leaving dishwashing duties to the cups and I will write the dishwashing manual of our family life! I hope you are ready for a cycle of craziness and comfort, your dishes and mine might have to be left, but hey that’s what we have dishwashers, partners or cups for !! (cups=kids) xox
